Why can't I open the gate/door/wicket with Google Home?

The Google Home app only allows you to open a garage or driveway gate through voice commands. Google Home app's interface doesn't provide buttons for it.

Google Home does not recognize "gateway lock" (wicket) and "door lock" function

In order for voice control to work properly, the gate control channel must be linked to a properly functioning gate opening sensor.
